I also set small breaks between 45-60-minute study periods so that my brain can get some rest and re-energized. During breaks, I often stretch my arms and my legs, go out for a short walk and listen to some good music, etc. WebSpaced practice involves when you should “study” and retrieval practice involves how you should “study”. When you use both (for instance, you can prepare for your exams using a spaced practice schedule and then use retrieval practice during each session), they make a powerful combination.
