The tweeters are very accurate but bright (also solved with dsp). It was an awesome first component set for me. I have since upgraded tweeters but am looking for another Focal midbass for an upgrade.

WebYes, there are speakers geared more towards sound quality over output. A basic example would be something like the JL audio W6 vs the W7. The W6 is usually considered a SQ subwoofer whereas the W7 is more considered an SPL subwoofer. Not that the W6 can't get loud and the W7 can't sound good. Not at all. WebYou can get a 6x9 to 6.5" adapter pretty cheap (maybe $20 for the pair), or if you're handy it's also very easy to make your own custom plate. I'd recommend grabbing a set of foam rings, maybe $15, to put around the front of the speaker. Helps mid bass a ton. If you can do a component system, do it. Sounds WAY better.
